Women in Construction
Yesterday morning’s Forum for the Built Environment, ‘Women in Construction’ event was an excellent way to kickstart the day, especially with International Women’s day just around the corner.
The room was filled with individuals from all corners of the construction industry, eager to network and hear from an incredible lineup of panelists including Lisa Molloy, Renee Preston and Gemma Stubbs.
Although The Digger Lady Ltd Pamela Evans was unfortunately unable to attend, our very own Eleanor Wood graciously stepped in, contributing valuable insights to the discussion.
Gaƫlle Blake was outstanding as the panel facilitator, effortlessly connecting with the panelists and sharing stories that highlighted the progress made in equality and inclusion within the industry, while also acknowledging that there is still work to be done.
It has been truly inspiring to be part of such an impactful event and to gain wisdom from remarkable speakers who are excelling in their fields. Their stories of perseverance, hard work, and resilience have shown us what is possible when we push forward and advocate for one another.
A special thanks to OneCoWork – Flexible Workspaces for hosting the event in such a fantastic space with an incredible team, to Forum for the Built Environment for organizing this inspiring session (we look forward to many more), and to Warden Construction Ltd for supporting the event alongside ourselves.
