Engineering II Building Emerges
Substantial site progress on Engineering II at Lancaster University as the building is now visible after removal of the scaffolding from the façade which has taken place following completion of the external brickwork. The façade takes its design inspiration from the 1851 Great Exhibition building ‘the Crystal Palace’ and Ribblehead Viaduct.
Further works to be completed include final installation of all windows, fitting of vinyl flooring throughout and enclosure and cladding of the external stairwell on the north west corner.
The new build development is a significant component of the School of Engineering, providing a broad array of specialist facilities to support their wider expansion plans and help cement the University’s position as a globally renowned academic and research institution.
