Work Experience Placement

Wilson Mason North recently hosted Sixth Form student, Kate from Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, for a week’s work experience placement in July.

Kate spent her time with us designing an accessible extension suitable for a wheelchair to our rural studio, a converted cruck barn based in Samlesbury. Kate demonstrated an impressive natural creative ability for design and, by utilising statutory and industry guidance for accessible buildings, was able to visualise and design a well-considered, thoughtful and original concept, which fit the brief brilliantly and worked in harmony with the existing studio.

It was rewarding to receive such positive feedback from Kate regarding her time here and that the experience has cemented her career aspirations to study architecture and progress in the industry.

We wish Kate every success in her future studies and look forward to seeing what she will accomplish in her chosen career.
