Scrumptious School Dining

Project completion for Highgate School in North London, a complete renovation of the interior and exterior kitchen and dining hall.

The refurbishment included an extension to the existing building, new refuse store, electric car charging point, commercial kitchen and a new open covered veranda roof structure to the south front of the dining hall.

The design used red cedar cladding to seamlessly integrate the existing building with the new extension and rooftop plant room, bringing the former 1960’s brick building harmoniously into the 21st century.

And by installing a commercial standard kitchen and dining space, to service not only the Highgate students but also the school’s aspirations to cater public and private events, Wilson Mason were able support to the school’s long-term business goals.

A challenging and complex project, Wilson Mason as executive Architects, alongside the entire project team, through collaborative and considered design coordination have delivered what is both a functional and charming refurbishment.
