On the Job Experience

As we enter the new academic year, the Wilson Mason North office welcomes Zaiba Patel, a Part 1 Architecture student, to undertake her placement year and further expand upon her studies to develop a practical working knowledge of architecture and design.

Wilson Mason, as part of our established staff mentoring programme, provide individuals with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects to support both their career development and continuing architectural education. We fully support Part I, II and III architecture students helping them to grow in confidence, expertise and knowledge.

Zaiba, a student at UCLan (University of Central Lancashire) in Preston, has completed 3 years of her BSc (Hons) Architecture degree.

Reflecting on her experience so far Zaiba observes, “The work has been a lot more practical and hands-on which, whilst it can be challenging, also allows me to be creative. It’s been particularly beneficial to see how the knowledge and theory gained from my studies is applied in practice to create design solutions on live projects. I’m looking forward to what opportunities the rest of the year will bring”
