A Design (Work) Experience

Lancaster Grammar Sixth Form student, Rowan recently joined us for a week’s work experience during the first week of August.

Tasked with designing & modelling a new build office within the rural grounds of our Samlesbury office, Rowan got to grips with 3 new software packages during his short time here, including AutoCAD, SketchUp and PagePlus. His enthusiasm for the subject, creative ability and imaginative viewpoint, in particular his ideas around sustainability and energy efficiency, demonstrated a real flare and remarkable promise for his chosen career path, especially when considering his age and limited experience.

The team at Wilson Mason really enjoyed having Rowan in the office and the homemade lemon drizzle cake was a delicious treat to end the week on.

We wish Rowan every success in his future studies and hope his experience here helped to further ignite a passion for architecture.
