Team Building on the Wild Side

On a beautifully clear and sunny Saturday in July, Team Wilson Mason North’s intrepid explorers set off for the wilds of the Lake District, to hone their bushcraft and survival skills.

In the glorious woodland surroundings of the National Trust’s Fell Foot Park, under the watchful guidance of James & Michelle from Green Man Survival, the team’s skills were put to the test fire lighting and subsequent marshmallow toasting, shelter building – fully weatherproof tested to withstand watering can ‘storm conditions’ and competing in a scavenger hunt to find the most useful and unique survival items (animal bone toothpick anyone?).

After unleashing their inner Bear Grylls, the team relaxed on the shore of Lake Windermere for a well-deserved picnic and cooling paddle in the shallows.

It was a fun and relaxing team building challenge, re-establishing key relationships after the restrictions of the past couple of years in beautiful and natural surroundings, gorge walking next year perhaps?
