Latest from our work at Liverpool Hope University
The InQuiry Building is to provide new student-focused informal learning spaces for Liverpool Hope University. As a ‘library without books’ the building is to create the same level and quality of a traditional campus library, a place where students naturally gravitate to study, collaborate and create.
The key organisational device of the building is the central ‘social core’ lightwell space which is used to connect all the accommodation together. The social core is both ‘open plan’ and ‘open section’, the space is used to house both horizontal and vertical circulation providing legible way finding routes through the building allowing for chance meetings and the exchange of ideas.
