At Just over 1500mē of retail space and 700mē of dedicated Back of House space the first John Lewis food Hall is situated in its majority within the Northern sector of the Flag ship Oxford Street store. Previously the Lighting Department and copious storerooms and offices it was opened on 3rd October 2007.
To enter the food hall customers can use a newly formed entrance from Cavendish Square through the new floristry zone and travel down designated escalators, or through an internal entrance punched through from China and Glass.
The food hall itself sells some standard Waitrose produce along side a wide range of quality produce consisting of fresh fish and meet plus exemplar wines, as well as a superb cheese room! All housed within a bespoke shell which uses a new Waitrose/JLP materials palette and lighting designed specifically for the Food Hall environment by Interstore.
