Wilson Mason are lead consultants in the refurbishment of this locally listed 1940’s research building for Shell Global Solutions. The brief for this project is to create catering and dining facilities.

We have been working in close co-operation with the local planning and conservation officers as well as the 20th Century Society to provide an innovative solution that respects the existing structure whilst providing a modern working environment. This building is felt to be of particular historic importance due to the historical connections with the development of aviation and jet engine fuels as well as the overall quality of the buildings aesthetic. We have, therefore, had to be particularly sensitive in or approach to the redevelopment of the structure.
