The project was initiated in late 2005, with high level feasibility studies. The commission for the final scope was received in Feb 2006. The existing building was mixed use with a variety of laboratory and office space distributed throughout the building.

The project entails the full refurbishment of the mechanical and electrical services which had passed their useful life, with the interior design taking full advantage of the high floor to floor levels to create light and airy open plan office space.

The interior planning utilises the latest working practices with open plan space and supporting cellular spaces. These include ‘cocoons’ for concentrated working, and a mixture of meeting room sizes.
