A refurbishment project to increase the utilisation of the 24 hour access Grad College building. This refurbishment retained the two existing rooms to manage a separation between quiet and collaborative study. Through decoration, the spaces were improved to appear brighter and furnishings were used to create different learning zone areas. A key part of the design was to increase power and data provision to facilitate the use of laptops for students. It was also important to maintain a home from home feel throughout by using soft comfortable furnishings and refreshment facilities were incorporated into the design. The project also involved a cedar clad contemporary extension and partial conversion of the external storage area.
