The Fylde College project delivers a number of internal and external improvements to the existing university building. Initially the project was for the replacement of the building’s windows. However, as the project progressed, the design evolved to incorporate changes to the envelope of the building. The scope of works introduced injected cavity wall insulation to improve the building’s sustainability, the roof also had a thermal upgrade and the rooftop flats were recovered. The design incorporated internal remodeling for the rooftop flats, overall resulting in a sustainable and worthy upgrade to the college.
